An interesting article has been posted by The Hooded Utilitarian over at The Comics Journal describing in quite some detail the relationship between buildings and
environment in a comic and the
characters who inhabit them. The article mainly discusses Josh
Simmon's new wordless graphic novel House, but he also briefly skims over Chris Ware, Seth, David
Mazzucchelli, Marshall Rogers, Will Eisner, Richard McGuire, Tom Gauld, and
François Schuiten and
Benoît Peeters. Well worth a read. Click
